I looked this morning for the Solaris CDs that came with millie, but I was unable to find them. I checked the ENI lab (including the Ultra 60 box), the admin office, and the 4th floor but turned up nothing.
After wandering around on Sun's website, I noticed that you can download Solaris 9.0 ISOs for Sparc for free. They also have a preview release of Solaris 10 that is also available, so we have some options available.
I've setup a Squid proxy server on millie, with a CNAME proxy.cs.earlham.edu. The proxy server authenticates off quark's IMAP server to get its user information. This is especially useful for me, as rt.cs.earlham.edu cannot be run outside of a virtual host, and the Packet Shapers still need to be reconfigured to allow access to that IP address.
I'm updating all the packages on millie using pkg-get update.
I've enabled logging on all of millie's disk filesystem. I also enabled largefiles on the filesystems.
I've done this by adding "logging" and "largefiles" to the options field (the last field) in vfstab.
I have enabled SSL on bagend, giving encrypted access to Nagios.
I had to setup a virtual host in ssl.conf, and generate new SSL keys to reflect the actual DNS name of the machine.
