Websites I have been involved with

Doxpop

Doxpop is the website I work on at my current job. We put local court and recorder records online which allows our users to do things like search across multiple counties, see their event calendar and get alerts when a case changes.

Earlier this year I submitted some mockups I made in my free time to my co-workers for critique and criticism. I was also hoping to get people talking and thinking about a new look for the site.

Doxpop Minimal Mockup

It's hard to point to a website many people work on and declare "I did this". That said, I do have a couple recent examples of my work:

A landing page where I retooled the look and an alternative home page based somewhat on my mockups.

HELP The Animals Inc

Early in 2009, I donated my time to help this non-profit shelter build a new website. My goal was to better organize the information, keep the cost of the site free (yet make it functional) and make it as easy as possible for non-techies to update the content.

Out of necessity, I built a form submitter with Google's App Engine. The forms are stored in a database for backup and then emailed to the shelter's email address. Additionally, the form submitter can easily be used with different forms, so it also handles foster applications, volunteer applications, site feedback and a couple others.

Other features included using Google Analytics so we could see where applications were coming from, one click access to the list of animals and a lost and found page. I also build an Animal Shelter Manager database server and configured it to automatically publish the list of animals to several major adoption sites. With the adoption application online for the first time, and the animals updating daily, adoptions increased dramatically.

Timbercreek Organics

I was recently asked to create some mockups for this site. This is what I have come up with so far:
