6/24/02 Meeting to find more work to do. Should be fun.

6/14/02 Wired Dennis for roaming access. All units are in place and running, we need to test to be sure of full coverage and mounting of a board in the 4th floor and antennas (cleanly) need to be done monday.

6/13/02 Worked with getting new room and such setup. Got G3 finally working on wireless card but only under OS 9.

6/12/02 Worked on converting acl1 to windows so we can use the AP manager with it.

6/11/02 Tested connections from roof of carpenter to Mott and Marmon houses.

6/10/02 Got test setup more accuarate for testing on Carpenter.

6/07/02 Tried to get signal from carpenter to Mott and Marmon houses, UPS Died and resulted in no tests working.

6/06/02 Worked on planning for test setups and places for testing wireless.

6/05/02 Worked on getting line of sight from carp. Met with Kevan to see what all else to work on.

6/04/02 Checked norwich and others to see if our placement on Warren is still optimal. For the stables and norwich, we are still looking good. The Farm is difficult to see anything so that would probobly require the tower nearby being used? The observatory seems to have a good line although it will be neccessary to climb up on the wooden frame and look form the top to be sure. The security tower looks to be a very easy shot for Japan-CCC and could also be used from Jones to balance load.

6/03/02 Met with Kevan and came up with Marshall house plan to get them online very soon. Tested at Marshall and found out that we can get signal from the second cards in admissions and brown houses' R2s without even adding an antenna at this point. He is goign to enter in the DHCP numbers that hasan sends him for the machines there and they should be able to get online.

5/31/02 More finalization of locations. Japan - CCC is the most difficult to find a way for. May be easier if we can make the cable longer. A really tall mast for the antenna would also maby work but that would need to be tested.

5/30/02 Finalised most of locations for multipoint access. Updated this info in the locations file.

5/29/02 Finished up with workgroup testing at houses. Met to talk about next steps and how the testing had turned out. Started to switch out brown house but had problems probobly roots in the difference of subnets. We were able to use the setup we wanted in dennis but it would not allow access through our laptop. We think this is due to being on the wrong subnet and DHCP entry.

5/28/02 Finished up pictures from houses and worked with Aaron and Hasan on making sure that workgroup access could be provided in a given way for all house groups.

5/24/02 Finished most of the pictures documentation, still need to finish carpenter attic but otherwise we are done. Hope to meet early next week and figure out next step. Many of the houses are able to be hit from at least one possible location but not all houses are visible. the most dificult seem to be Mott and Darby houses. Obne idea i had was to mount on tall pine tree in front of Darby.

5/23/02 Hanna had idea to use digital camera to document the view from each house. We started this and did all of college ave. from G st. to ESR. We need to still do carpenter and the houses along 40.

5/22/02 More work to find spots on campus to serve as multipoints for clients to access. Carpenter, Admitions, ESR, and Warren are the most likely at the moment. Placed data from all this into the houses file. Plan to get master key and find more precisely what will work tomorrow.

5/21/02 Have continued work with locations from japan house on. Should finish most of houses today.

5/20/02 Started work on profiling all locations for internet access starting at the farm and working back toward campus. This is working well and we have finished as far as japan house.
