Senior Seminar Project: Thumbprint scanning and recognition

Welcome to my Senior Seminar Project Webpage! In this webpage, I will discuss the work I did for this project. Topics include design issues, implementation, problems I encountered, and possible enhancements. I included links to all of my source code. I invite you to look and critique my code, not to mention this webpage!

First, let me explain a bit about this project. I worked with two other people, Alex Reeder and Cameron Murrell. Alex designed and wrote the thumbprint recognition program. Cameron designed and wrote the Linux device drivers for the thumbprint scanner. My job was to design and implement the database that would store user information, user id, last name, first name, time from which they are permitted to use the system, time from which they are forbidden to use the system, and an array of characteristics of the user's thumbprint; as well as the the frontend application for the database, and the system superuser application.
