Aquifer - a porous soil medium that is permeable enough to contain appreciable quantities of water.

Monitoring well – a permanent structure which penetrates into the water table and is used to extract

  • samples and gather data about the chemical, physical, gravitational, seismic, and electrical properties of an underground region.
