Our first meeting!
- We talked about the virtues of Linux versus
FreeBSD.
- FreeBSD had documentation, Linux was new and
trendy and allowed for features like NIC to NIC DMA transfers.
- Charlie decided that due to the large amount of
printed, electronic and other documentation, we should go with FreeBSD.
- Jim said that he'd upgrade Magellan to FreeBSD
3.1 (He wanted to anyway.)
- What kinds of behavior we wanted
- How do we handle overflow?
- How do we notify busy hosts?
- What do we do with a generally busy network?
- Project outline
- What are we doing?
- How are going to do it?
- (Something Else).
