Our first meeting!
  • We talked about the virtues of Linux versus FreeBSD.
    • FreeBSD had documentation, Linux was new and trendy and allowed for features like NIC to NIC DMA transfers.
    • Charlie decided that due to the large amount of printed, electronic and other documentation, we should go with FreeBSD.
    • Jim said that he'd upgrade Magellan to FreeBSD 3.1 (He wanted to anyway.)
  • What kinds of behavior we wanted
    • How do we handle overflow?
    • How do we notify busy hosts?
    • What do we do with a generally busy network?
  • Project outline
    • What are we doing?
    • How are going to do it?
    • (Something Else).
