Florence is obviously a city where the arts have florished. Many Renaissance artists came from here or traveled to Florence during the period. The world famous Uffizzi Galleria is located in the heart of the city and contains a large amount of Renaissance work. Michelangelo was born in Florence and it is possible to visit his house to see some of his work.
