Web Based Network Management Tool with a PostgreSQL
database back-end to aid in the active configuration
of new computers on the campus network. The utility
also assisted in the management of computers already
present on the network and is still in active use at
Earlham.

- Participated as a member of a team of students
responsible for managing a hybrid network of 30+
Linux Workstations (Faculty & Lab Workstations),
2 Multi-Node Beowulf Clusters (Parallel Computing
Clusters), 3 UNIX/Linux Servers, Windows & Macintosh
Computers (approximately 50+ machines).
- Responsible for providing daily production level
support for email, Apache HTTP/S, PostgreSQL
Databases, DHCP, DNS, NIS/NFS, FTP, SSH, SAMBA,
Netatalk & SystemImager (System Image propagation for
the Linux Labs), along with lab and limited application
support for the users. Performed hardware and software
upgrades as the need for greater capacity and security

- Researched and implemented the use of the System
Installation Suite to assist in the synchronization of
the software installed on the lab/faculty workstations.
This Suite included the use of SystemImager and C3
(from ORNL) tools providing the ability to easily
manage large numbers of Linux Workstations.
- Interacted with users to tune the services provided
so that they best suited their academic purposes.
