Welcome to my News section

So this is where I hope to keep some sort of journal of what is going on in my life (or at least part of it). I don't know how frequently I'll get to update it, but I'll do my best to at least get the big things in here. If you're interested, stay tuned!

I've just uploaded new/updated versions of my Résumé which can be found on my Employment Page.

Well, I finally have a job!!! It's not exactly what I want to be doing, but I'm having fun (for now) and getting paid for it. I'm a Occasional/Seasonal Sales Associate in the Computers department at on of the local Best Buy stores. I seem to picked up the task of retail computer sales fairly quickly and from what I've been hearing, I'm not that bad at it. Still looking for a better job (or at least one that suits me better), so if you hear of anything that you think I might be interested, send me a note and I'll take a look at it.

Just made some small changes to my Résumé and uploaded them (see my Employment Page). Still haven't found a job, but I'm still looking. In other aspects of my life, I'm almost finished with the EMT -- Cardiac Technician course that I started in January. Hopefully I successfully complete the course so that I can pursue some employment oportunities in the EMS/Rescue area of my life. Check back later for new info about this...

Just put some new versions of my Résumé up on my Employment Page. I also have finally gotten to creating the Plain Text version that I have been meaning to complete.

Well, I've put the last few finishing touches on my Résumé and uploaded various different formats to my Employment Page. For now, I've posted it in Microsoft® Word 97, OpenOffice.org 1.0.1, Postscript 3.0 and PDF 1.3 (Acrobat 4 or newer required) formats. If there is a format that you are looking for, let me know, and I'll see what I can do (I'm working in a Text and HTML format, but that is going to come after I get some applications out the door...).

Finally got my resume done! I've posted OpenOffice.org 1.0.1 format and Microsoft® Word 97 format copies of my resume in the Employment section of this site. I'm working on a HTML/XML formated version to also post, but for now, you'll need either Microsoft® Word 97 (or newer) or OpenOffice.org in order to view my Résumé.

Whew! Well, after lots of hard work and sweat, I finally got EC-NetReg-DBI working (yeah, the name needs some work). Its finally up and running and actively in use by the Earlham Computing Services Staff. So-far so good!!! Sooner or later I hope to get a real web page up devoted to that project and also get it registered on Sourceforge. For those of you who have been keeping up with it, don't worry, I'm still planning on releasing it under some GPL/BSD like license. Right now, I'm just having a hard time deciding which one. Check back later!

WOOPIE!!! I finally graduated from college! It took 5 years and lots of work, but I did it. Anyhow, right now, I'm taking some time off at home and running with my rescue squad in Sulfolk, VA. I'm going to be returning to Richmond, IN in a few weeks to work for 2 months (June and July '02) in order to finish up my Networking project. Look here and on my "Projects Page" for more developments in the future.

So I finally got the site updated. Everything should be where it ought to be, so let me know if you can't find anything or if any links are broken.
