First 72-hour Lessons

First 72-hour lessons are items that must be covered within the first three days of the course in order to properly prepare students in the basic skills, knowledge, and abilities necessary to be relatively safe and comfortable in backcountry settings. For the purposes of organization, they are broken up here into lessons to be taught "On Campus", "On The Road", and "In The Field."
