Stay at Wanangui Quaker Retreat Center (10 days)

Orientation/Introduction to NZ cultural and natural history

Expeditionary Learning component: 5-day canoe trip in Whanangui National Park

  • Travel to Wellington (2 days)

Visit National Museum and other cultural sites

Ferry across to South Island

  • Travel to Christchurch

Set-Up and begin homestays

Course intensives- Natural History of NZ, Cultural Ecology, and Faculty Seminar

Expeditionary Learning component: trekking Arthur Pass?

Possible Excursions:

Maori marae visits? Kaikoura?

Natural History on Banks peninsula
