Super Maze

The SuperMaze Return to Mountain Curriculum or First 3 Days at Moon Lake
Objective: Discover the correct path through the maze (a 9x6 grid) and get entire team through in shortest amount of time. Maze is a grid made up of 54 squares. You , as Maze Master, draw up a map of the correct path (do not show it!). Only one person on maze at a time and as player steps, you as maze master tell them to “continue” (correct move), or “buzz” (wrong move). Player must commit to square, placing two feet in before receiving feedback. Player must then re-trace exact steps to the beginning of maze. Rules: No talking, no touching maze from outside, no marking path or writing it down. Any rule infraction is a penalty minute added to score. You can only step on adjacent squares--no going backward or skipping over squares. Once path is discovered you can have up to 3 people at a time on maze (this is to expedite solution).
August Wilderness Version
Split group into 2 brigades. Have each brigade start at opposite ends of maze with same introduction and same rules (key: do not tell them that they are actually on the same maze path!). Two teams will have two separate maze masters. As teams proceed, they may figure out that they are, in fact, on the same maze, just different sides- this will speed up the process if they share information and resources. This can lead to a great debrief about what it means to experience something that is different but the same (as in- the two brigades on AW). It can also be about supporting each other, taking risks, and discovering the bests "paths" in life.
