Anton Panov


Anton Panov was born in Old Dojran in 1906, and died in Strumica in 1967. He got his education in Strumica and Belgrade under hard matherial conditions. He was interested in music and the playwrighting (the theater).

In the macedonian literature Panov is a famous playwright. His play Pecalbari is written in Macedonian language in the period between the two world wars, a time when the use of the Macedonian language was forbidden. The play has been played in a lot of theaters, among which the theaters in Belgrade and Skopje.

About the lives of the Dojran fishermen, Panov has written the play Pilikatnik.
