Od poemata "Makedonija"

... Makedonijo,
ti ne si ime prochitano od kniga,
ni zbor chuen od dedovci,
ti si:
krv,
    koski
       i otrov.
Krv,
    koski
       i majchino mleko,
zashto sum go prochital
tvoeto ime ispishano
na mrachniot nebosklon
od pozharite na popalenite sela,
ispishano
vrz krajbrezhnite karpi
od strasta diva
na nezadrzhlivite branovi;
zashto sum ja osetil
do gorda bolka
smislata na zhilavoto
rakuvanje so istorijata:
koj vo tebe, majko,
kako osvojuvach stapnal -
bos srede trnje,
sred zharishte capnal,
vtorpat toj nema
da go prechekori pragot,
pa makar za nazad
da pobara traga.
... Machenichko,
odev po tvoite dolishta -
raskroeni preushki
i gi sobirav koskite
(izgnieni i presni)
od dedovcite
i drugarite,
za da gi zakopam
vo eden grob,
za da gi soberam vo moevo srce...
... Pomionav niz tvoite buri:
Samuilovi,
Karpushovi,
ilindenski
i partizanski,
vetrishtata mi gi naglotija
i zakrvavija ochite,
no mi gi izbistri
dzvezdeniot kristal
na tvoite nebesni
nezgasnati jasnici...
... Makedonijo,
ti ne si ime prochitano od kniga,
ni zbor chuen od dedovci,
ti si:
krv,
    koski
       i otrov,
krv,
    koski
       i majchino mleko...
