Petre M. Andreevski


Petre M. Andreevski was born in the village of Sloestica, by Demir Hisar. He finished high school in Bitola and got his degree in philology in Skopje. He has been busy writing literary works since the liberation of Macedonia after the WW2.

His most famous works are the poetry works: Denicija, Dalni nakovalni, Pofalbi i poplaki, and Vecna Kukja. Apart from poetry he also writes prose, scenarios, and plays. His most famous prose writings are his novels Pirej and Nebeska Timjanova, as well as his collection of short stories Sedmiot den.

For the children, Andreevski has written the collection of poems Saram baram. He has won a number of prizes for his literary work.


Pirej e troskotna treva, a nekoi ja vikaat i koshtreva. Ama ti kolku sakash koshkaj ja, korni ja, kubi ja, taa pak ne umira. Samo malku da se dopre do zemjata i pak ke se fati, ke ozhivi, ke potera. Nishto ne ja nishti taa treva.
