We need to figure out what we want to do for the
organizations fair. It is important that we come across
well, or SDAC will die when we graduate. We need to
find a good REACHABLE POSSIBLE topic in order to keep
attention and interest and not get people burned out
by trying and trying and working and not succeeding
in anything. That was one of our mistakes last year.
Another mistake last year was that all of us, including
myself, were very intolerant of others' suggestions or
opinions. We need to stop that. That is not how
consensus works. Everybody's ideas have to be taken
seriously. We cannot condemn people for thinking
differently, or we are just as bad as the people we
are supposedly fighting against. We also got really
hung up on semantics last year. I don't think it should
be important whether I call myself a "woman" or a "girl"
as long as I respect my self and my rights, or whether
I call someone an "indian" or a "native american" as long
as I respect them. That is so petty and it gets in the
way of many things. It's not the words that are important,
it is the actions. We did not take as many actions as we
should have last year. We should try to attack problems
in RICHM OND, WAYNE COUNTY or EAST CENTRAL INDIANA. At
least to start with. We have a chance at defeating them.
Anyway, we should write a new manifesto...I have a rough
draft of a preamble written...it is up for change and
suggestions...I will get it in as soon as I possibly
can.
Peace and Solidarity,
Annii
