Violence and nonviolence

Nonviolence is what everyone is striving for in the end.
I don't think that anyone is saying that their ideal
society is "at the barrel of a gun," they are just saying
that they think that that is the best way to get there.
Vietnam, from what I've heard, is in better shape than
it was before the war.
Cuba, I don't know.
But what about the United States? We did not peacefully
petition king george until he finally said "Woops, we're
exploiting them, sorry" now did we? We to ok the picketing
to a point where further picketing seemed useless and
picked up guns and showed them we meant what we were
saying in a way pickets and petitions can't even start
to do.
Now violence should never be the first thing. You s hould
always try nonviolence first. But sometimes violence
is necessary, even a good alternative.
I cannot think of even one revolution that has been
carried off nonviolently.
Think about it.
